This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Evaluate trends in employee relations and offer suggestions on intricate workforce relations issues to foster a high-performing workplace culture.
• Work in conjunction with Legal, Organizational Talent Advisors, and HR Centers of Excellence to identify and alleviate risks.
• Facilitate organizational change efforts by overseeing the workforce transition process and providing guidance on employee transitions and their effects.
• Utilize evidence-based communication and storytelling techniques to advise on the resolution of intricate workforce relations issues through data-informed recommendations.
• Independently handle a significant number of complex workforce relations cases, including harassment, discrimination, inappropriate behavior, and performance management investigations.
• Provide counsel on and assist with disciplinary actions, terminations, and other employment decisions in accordance with relevant laws and company policies.
• Offer expert advice to leaders, agents, and employees regarding performance management, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations.
• Train and lead essential programs while designing and executing special projects.
• Collaborate with HR subject-matter experts on workforce relations programs and products.
• May act as the primary contact for workforce transition processes, from initial coaching and counseling to written employee notifications.
• Proficiency in both French and English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Capability to conduct interviews, investigations, consultations, and prepare documentation in both languages.
• Extensive experience in managing complex employee relations and workplace investigations from initiation to resolution.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian employment law, employee relations practices, and workforce relations processes.
• Proven track record of independently overseeing a high volume of investigations and making recommendations regarding disciplinary actions and employment decisions.
• Experience collaborating with Legal, HR Business Partners, Payroll, HR Centers of Excellence, and business leaders on complex employee issues.
• Strong background in analyzing workforce relations data and converting findings into actionable recommendations and business insights.
• Ability to rapidly establish credibility as a trusted advisor and operate with a high level of independence.
• Previous experience supporting enterprise-wide employee populations across Canada.
• Preferred experience in assisting workforce transitions, organizational change initiatives, and employee-impacting programs.
• Expertise in workforce relations and employee relations case management.
• Advanced experience in workplace investigations, including cases of harassment, discrimination, and misconduct.
• In-depth knowledge of Canadian employment laws, regulations, and workforce relations practices.
• Experience providing guidance and recommendations related to disciplinary actions, terminations, and complex employment matters.
• Background in workforce transition and organizational change management.
• Experience in risk assessment and mitigation concerning employee and workforce relations issues.
• Skills in data analysis and interpretation.
• Experience in documentation and case management, including the preparation of investigation reports and maintaining compliant records.
