This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Arrange appointments with providers for patients, referring physicians, and facilities across various states.
• Relay essential information to patients and staff, including insurance coverage, financial responsibilities, and appointment schedules.
• Deliver warm, friendly, and exceptional customer service.
• Accurately schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments following practice scheduling protocols and tools.
• Provide information regarding services to physicians and other callers.
• Respond promptly to requests from patients, providers, and team members.
• Maintain and update patient information while staying informed about insurance protocols.
• Determine insurance benefits using eligibility systems, online resources, or phone inquiries.
• Clarify benefits and financial obligations to patients and guarantors.
• Address billing inquiries, collect out-of-pocket payments, and process transactions.
• Communicate insurance-related issues and collaborate with billing teams to resolve coverage problems.
• Maintain insurance panels effectively.
• Secure approval for schedule modifications or cancellations.
• Achieve goals and objectives set by management.
• Escalate issues to management as necessary.
• Perform additional duties based on patient needs.
• Must be bilingual in Spanish.
• Experience with insurance eligibility processes.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational abilities.
• Capability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
• Ability to collaborate well in a team-oriented setting.
• Commitment to adhering to quality and productivity standards.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
