This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Evaluate and assess loss and damage related to automobile body claims and other relevant claim categories.
• Confirm claim terms and coverage, verify claim legitimacy, and choose suitable repair methods and pricing.
• Examine warranty agreements, previous notes, and past claims to ascertain coverage.
• Reach out to repair shops to evaluate failures, repair techniques, and parts and labor costs.
• Decide if an independent inspection should be requested.
• Identify preferred repair strategies based on pricing and existing warranty.
• Negotiate costs for labor and parts.
• Authorize repairs in line with warranty contract stipulations and coverage.
• Review total loss claims and confirm eligibility where necessary.
• Assist dealers with unresolved claims by consulting with service personnel and/or customers.
• Provide prompt and effective communication of decisions to claimants and/or the team.
• Achieve departmental productivity goals, including average handle time, first response time, service levels, and compliance with service guidelines.
• Deliver exceptional customer service.
• Engage in coaching and team development sessions, contributing feedback and insights to the claims team.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive body repair is preferred.
• Bilingual fluency in English and French is essential.
• An Auto Body Technician Certificate or Estimator certification is preferred but not required.
• Comprehensive understanding of the mechanical functions and body structure of various automobiles and light-duty trucks.
• Strong dedication to client service and ongoing improvement.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
• Intermediate computer proficiency, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with Audatex or Mitchell estimating systems is beneficial.
• Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Capability to interpret a wide range of technical instructions.
