Senior Localization and Planning Engineer – Autonomous Vehicles

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Create and execute systems utilizing standard navigation maps, such as Google Maps, to guide vehicles along routes at the lane level.

• Build capabilities for localization, perception-map association, and lane selection using navigation maps tailored for autonomous vehicles.

• Guarantee that algorithms function effectively across extensive real-world and synthetic datasets in a variety of environments.

• Develop safe, high-performance C++ code.

• Transform software for real-world application in consumer vehicles.

• Adhere to automotive quality and safety regulations, including MISRA and ISO 26262.

• Work collaboratively across teams and engage within a close-knit engineering group.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

• Over 8 years of demonstrated experience.

• Strong foundation in algorithm design.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Attention to detail in modern C++, including RAII and exception-safe coding practices.

• Proven experience in developing safe, efficient C++ code.

• Familiarity with automotive quality and safety standards, including MISRA and ISO 26262.
