Senior Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ecuador.

📋 Description

• Design and develop microservices using Java 21 and Quarkus.

• Build secure and scalable REST APIs.

• Apply principles of Clean Architecture and design patterns.

• Implement tests with a TDD approach.

• Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Deploy solutions utilizing Docker and Kubernetes.

• Actively participate in agile teams under the Scrum framework.

• Conduct code reviews and document technical decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with Java 21.

• Experience with Quarkus.

• Experience in microservices.

• Experience with REST APIs.

• Experience with TDD.

• Knowledge of Clean Code and design patterns.

• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL.

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of GitLab and Scrum.

• Understanding of OWASP (desirable).

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Software, or related fields.

• Certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional Java, AWS Developer Associate, Azure Developer Associate, CKAD, or Professional Scrum Developer (a plus, but not mandatory).

• Expert level in SQL and NoSQL.

• Expert level in TDD.

• Expert level in REST APIs.

• Expert level in Java 21.

• Intermediate level in Quarkus.

• Native Spanish speaker.
