This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Enhance the current Flutter application for both iOS and Android, prioritizing user experience and usability for individuals aged 50 and above.
• Design and develop Node.js APIs and services to implement new features.
• Assist in the development of new and related products, including those incorporating AI capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with medical and product teams, contributing to product-related decisions.
• Uphold code review, testing, and engineering standards suitable for a regulated medical product.
• Optionally influence cloud infrastructure, CI/CD processes, and deployment strategies.
• Take full ownership of features from start to finish while working within a small engineering team.
• Over 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven experience delivering software; be prepared to showcase something you have developed.
• Proficiency in Flutter/Dart, or a demonstrated ability to quickly adapt from React Native or native mobile environments.
• Familiarity with Node.js and API development; experience is not limited to mobile-only contexts.
• Capability to work remotely and asynchronously within a small distributed team.
• Availability for at least four hours of daily overlap during 09:00–17:00 Berlin time (CET/CEST).
• Comfortable navigating poorly defined problems and making technical decisions.
• Self-motivated and organized, able to work independently with significant ownership and minimal supervision.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Interest or experience in software security, accessibility, products aimed at older users, DiGA, medical devices, regulated environments, startup or consultancy roles, and/or DevOps is advantageous, though not mandatory.
• Purpose: your work directly contributes to improving lives — clinically validated, prescribed by healthcare professionals, and covered by statutory health insurance.
