Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of comprehensive data extraction processes from intricate websites, ensuring thorough coverage, precision, and dependable delivery of structured datasets.

• Utilize existing tools and tailored workflows to expedite data gathering, validation, and task execution while fulfilling specified requirements.

• Guarantee consistent extraction from dynamic and interactive web sources, adjusting methods for JavaScript-rendered content and evolving site behaviors.

• Uphold data quality standards through validation checks, cross-source consistency assessments, formatting criteria, and systematic verification prior to delivery.

• Enhance scraping operations for extensive datasets employing efficient batching or parallelization techniques.

• Track failures and ensure stability against minor modifications in site structure.

• Leverage web scraping, data extraction, and data processing expertise for the Tendem project in practical applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5+ years of pertinent experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development (required).

• Extensive experience in Python web scraping (BeautifulSoup, Selenium, or similar), including dynamic content (JS, AJAX, infinite scroll) and API usage via proxies.

• Proven capability to extract data from complex structures (hierarchies, archived pages, inconsistent HTML).

• Strong foundation in data cleaning, normalization, and validation, resulting in structured datasets (CSV, JSON, Google Sheets).

• Demonstrated experience managing anti-bot measures and dynamic site structures at scale.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent) and containerization (Docker) as part of real-world workflows.

• Practical experience with LLM frameworks (LangChain, OpenRouter, or similar) applied to automation tasks.

• Keen attention to detail and dedication to data accuracy.

• Self-motivated work ethic with the ability to troubleshoot independently.

• Proficiency in English: Upper-intermediate (B2) or higher (required).
