Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer – Freelance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Take charge of comprehensive data extraction processes across intricate websites.

• Guarantee thorough coverage, precision, and dependable delivery of structured datasets.

• Utilize available tools and customized workflows to expedite data collection, validation, and task execution.

• Ensure consistent extraction from dynamic and interactive web sources.

• Modify strategies to accommodate JavaScript-rendered content and evolving site behaviors.

• Uphold data quality through validation checks, cross-source consistency controls, formatting specifications, and systematic verification.

• Scale scraping operations for extensive datasets using efficient batching or parallelization techniques.

• Monitor failures and maintain stability against minor changes in site structure.

• Employ tools such as Apify, OpenRouter, and other technologies for web extraction and processing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical fields is advantageous.

• Strong technical background and hands-on experience with scripting, automation, and data extraction workflows.

• Extensive experience in Python web scraping, including BeautifulSoup, Selenium or similar tools, dynamic content (JS, AJAX, infinite scroll), and APIs via proxies.

• Proven capability to extract data from complex structures, including hierarchies, archived pages, and inconsistent HTML.

• Solid experience in data cleaning, normalization, and validation, delivering structured datasets in CSV, JSON, and Google Sheets.

• Demonstrated experience in managing anti-bot mechanisms and dynamic site structures at scale.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar) and containerization (Docker) as part of real workflows.

• Practical experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, OpenRouter, or similar applied to automation tasks.

• Strong attention to detail and unwavering commitment to data accuracy.

• Self-motivated work ethic with the ability to troubleshoot independently.

• Proficiency in English: Upper-intermediate (B2) or above.

• A link to GitHub is considered a plus.
