Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer – Freelance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

• Manage comprehensive data extraction processes across intricate websites.

• Guarantee thorough coverage, precision, and dependable delivery of structured datasets.

• Utilize available tools and custom workflows to enhance data collection, validation, and task execution.

• Consistently extract data from dynamic and interactive web sources, adapting to JavaScript-rendered content and evolving site behaviors.

• Uphold data quality through validation checks, cross-source consistency controls, formatting standards, and systematic verification.

• Scale scraping operations for extensive datasets by employing efficient batching or parallelization techniques.

• Monitor failures and ensure stability against minor changes in site structure.

• Leverage tools like Apify, OpenRouter, and other technologies in conjunction with technical expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development.

• Strong proficiency in Python web scraping, including experience with BeautifulSoup, Selenium or similar frameworks, dynamic content (JS, AJAX, infinite scroll), and APIs via proxies.

• Proven capability to extract data from complex structures such as hierarchies, archived pages, and inconsistent HTML.

• Robust background in data cleaning, normalization, and validation, providing structured datasets in formats like CSV, JSON, or Google Sheets.

• Demonstrated experience in managing anti-bot mechanisms and dynamic site structures at scale.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or equivalent and containerization using Docker.

• Practical experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, OpenRouter, or similar, applied to automation tasks.

• Strong attention to detail and dedication to data accuracy.

• Self-motivated work ethic with the ability to troubleshoot independently.

• Proficiency in English at an Upper-intermediate (B2) level or higher.

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical fields is advantageous.

• A GitHub link is considered a plus.
