Health and Safety Assessor, Bilingual

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assess contractor applications, health and safety program documentation, and relevant evidence in accordance with regulatory standards.

• Act as a subject matter expert in contractor accreditation and health and safety program evaluations.

• Assist contractors in achieving compliance through phone, email, and scheduled follow-up calls.

• Work collaboratively with Product and Operations teams to improve systems, streamline workflows, and enhance the internal knowledge repository.

• Perform quality assurance on assessment outcomes and maintain proper evidence handling and recordkeeping.

• Contribute to the development and refinement of health and safety assessment criteria, accreditation benchmarks, and documentation protocols.

• Gather data and create management reports that highlight compliance trends, identify gaps, and suggest operational improvements.

• Address contractor concerns by clarifying issues, determining root causes, proposing solutions, and ensuring follow-up actions.

• Achieve application-processing turnaround targets and quarterly performance metrics set by the Accreditation Manager.

• Report directly to the Head of Health and Safety Accreditation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety (Degree, Diploma, or Certificate).

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Occupational Health & Safety role.

• Practical field experience and demonstrated expertise in evaluating safety management systems and compliance standards.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and French (both written and spoken).

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Familiarity with CRM/ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics.

• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

• Experience within the Oil & Gas industry is highly desirable.
