Bilingual Collection Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Manage auto loan accounts that are 61+ days overdue.

• Record all collection efforts utilizing loan servicing software.

• Adhere to and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).

• Negotiate payment plans with borrowers.

• Recommend strategies for borrowers to fulfill their loan commitments.

• Offer alternative payment options and establish payment protocols.

• Assist borrowers in creating strategies to retain their vehicle while fulfilling loan responsibilities.

• Meticulously and professionally document account details and collection activities.

• Employ skip tracing tools and resources to identify and locate overdue borrowers.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in automotive collections focusing on accounts 61+ days delinquent.

• 2+ years of experience in skip tracing.

• Experience with reinstatements is advantageous.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to read, interpret, and apply federal, state, and local collections regulations.

• Skilled in interacting with customers in a professional, tactful, and sensitive manner.

• Capacity to excel in a fast-paced work environment and work independently as well as part of a team.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and overtime as required.

• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required.

• Must meet applicable work authorization requirements; employer participates in E-Verify.
