This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Manage auto loan accounts that are 60 days past due.

• Record all collection efforts using loan servicing software.

• Adhere to company policies and procedures as well as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).

• Negotiate payment plans with borrowers.

• Provide recommendations on how borrowers can fulfill their financial commitments.

• Suggest alternative payment options and set up payment methods.

• Support borrowers in creating strategies to retain their vehicles while fulfilling loan obligations.

• Document account details and collection activities accurately and professionally.

• Employ skip tracing tools and reference materials to find and connect with delinquent borrowers.

• Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the collections sector, ideally within the subprime consumer lending field.

• Experience with reinstatements is advantageous.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to read, interpret, and apply federal, state, and local collections laws.

• Professional, tactful, and sensitive customer interaction skills.

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, working both independently and collaboratively.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and overtime as required.

• High School Diploma or GED is essential.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is mandatory.
