
COO – Build & Scale Operations, Clean-Energy Logistics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the entire operations function, including warehousing, freight, inventory, and fulfillment.
• Manage a national network of 3PL and warehouse partners, including selecting carriers and handling specialized freight for heavy, oversized, and hazardous materials.
• Establish company KPIs and operational cadence, which encompasses weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews, dashboards, and accountability aligned with the plan.
• Evaluate the current team and ensure the right individuals are placed in appropriate roles.
• Develop the sales and business development framework, which includes pipeline management, forecasting, CRM implementation, deal desk operations, and pricing strategy.
• Design and implement the essential operational technology stack, such as WMS, TMS, CRM, and ERP, along with leadership reporting structures.
• Create a scalable compliance function that addresses DOT hazmat and oversized-load permitting requirements.
• Supervise commercial contracts and the deal-review process.
• Mentor experienced operations leaders and manage offshore support teams.
• Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, Board, and other executives.
• Report directly to the CEO while collaborating with the CFO and two Presidents of business lines.
• A minimum of 15 years in operations, supply chain, or general management, with at least 8 years in a senior executive role (COO, VP or SVP of Operations, GM, or equivalent).
• Demonstrated success in building operating systems from the ground up, including KPIs, operational cadence, planning, and processes.
• Practical logistics or distribution experience with heavy industrial or renewable energy products, such as transformers, batteries, trackers, or modules.
• Direct involvement in leading WMS, TMS, ERP, and CRM projects from inception to go-live.
• Experience managing a multi-site or contracted 3PL network at scale.
• Established credibility to collaborate with a CEO, Board, and President-level colleagues.
• A hands-on approach and the ability to scale a founder-led or growth-stage business.
• Preferred qualifications: direct experience in solar, storage, or renewable energy distribution; familiarity with NetSuite; experience in PE-backed or founder-led companies; and knowledge of EOS or Traction.
