📋 Description

• Manage auto loan accounts that are over 90 days past due

• Record all collection activities using loan servicing software

• Adhere to company policies and procedures as well as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)

• Negotiate payment plans with borrowers

• Offer suggestions for borrowers to fulfill their financial obligations

• Recommend alternative payment options and set up payment procedures

• Aid borrowers in formulating strategies to retain their vehicle while satisfying loan requirements

• Meticulously and professionally document account details and collection efforts

• Utilize skip tracing tools and reference materials to identify and locate delinquent borrowers

• Execute other duties as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in collections, ideally within the subprime consumer lending sector

• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities

• Capability to read, interpret, and apply federal, state, and local collections regulations

• Proficient in interacting with customers in a professional, tactful, and sensitive manner

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, working both independently and collaboratively

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and overtime when necessary

• High School Diploma or GED

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is mandatory
