Turkish OPI/VRI Medical Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during a call.

• Be knowledgeable about the specific terminology relevant to the industry in which the interpreter operates (particularly healthcare and medical).

• Accurately and thoroughly render all messages, avoiding any additions, omissions, or substitutions.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service while interpreting.

• Facilitate communication between individuals with Limited English Proficiency and the Client by providing precise and complete interpretation of the message.

• Implement standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Show a willingness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code policies for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Brazilian and European Portuguese."

• At least 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation at a reputable interpretation company.

• Solid understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is an advantage.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a bonus (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Possess high emotional intelligence and an appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention capabilities.
