This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Deliver French translation services for Fidelity Clearing Canada, adhering to industry regulations and Fidelity’s standards.
• Incorporate translation tasks within Marketing Operations to produce high-quality materials within specified deadlines.
• Evaluate and approve French content in collaboration with the Team Manager or Manager.
• Negotiate timelines with internal stakeholders.
• Raise unresolved issues to the Team Manager or Manager.
• Review and proofread materials translated by both external and internal sources.
• Oversee quality and make decisions regarding terminology, language style, and content accuracy.
• Conduct thorough industry-specific terminology research utilizing government and specialized resources.
• Sustain and enhance Fidelity’s internal terminology database and glossary.
• Stay updated on new terms and trends through French publications.
• Engage in promotional videos for digital content as part of asset activities.
• A minimum of 3 years of translation experience, ideally within the financial sector or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Translation from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and French.
• Membership in a recognized professional association, such as ATIO or OTTIAQ, would be beneficial.
• Understanding of financial markets and terminology.
• Capacity to translate accurately and appropriately in both languages.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Self-management abilities, initiative, and capability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in machine translation software, including GlobalLink.
• Participation in promotional videos for digital content is considered advantageous.
• Must possess current work authorization for Canada.
