Translation and Localization Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the process of multilingual content requests from initiation to delivery.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external language partners to define project scope, address inquiries, and fulfill localization deliverables.

• Ensure adherence to consistent localization practices, documentation standards, and handoff procedures.

• Assist in vendor onboarding, obtaining quotes, tracking costs, and monitoring timelines.

• Keep track of multilingual delivery schedules and the status of translation projects.

• Streamline the workflows for submitter-to-vendor intake, review, and deployment.

• Prepare, organize, and format bulk translation keys and string files for platform email assets and CRM communications.

• Verify the formatting of translated text, including placeholders and variables, prior to integration with CRM and marketing automation systems.

• Maintain and update glossaries, terminology databases, and lexicons.

• Conduct linguistic and technical quality assurance to ensure accuracy, proper formatting, consistency in terminology, regional suitability, and alignment with brand tone.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3 years of practical experience in translation coordination, localization project management, or a related discipline.

• Hands-on experience with translation management tools, terminology resources, quality assurance practices, and localization project workflows.

• High proficiency in English.

• Fluency or native-level proficiency in French or another major language is preferred.

• Exceptional organizational skills with a keen focus on data formatting, string management, and linguistic consistency.

• Strong communication abilities to effectively connect internal stakeholders with external translation vendors.
