Project Engineer, Bilingual – Spanish, English

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Assist Project Managers with the initiation of projects by setting up project files, distributing contracts, and verifying subcontractor onboarding requirements.

• Facilitate project completion through managing punch lists, collecting documents, tracking warranties, and ensuring final submissions are delivered.

• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to confirm scope, manage document submissions, and address any outstanding items.

• Monitor pending deliverables and alert the Project Manager regarding any delays.

• Manage and track Requests for Information (RFIs) and submittals, including preparation, distribution, follow-up, and logging.

• Acquire, review, and monitor shop drawings; coordinate the review and approval process with Project Managers and subcontractors.

• Keep project documentation organized and updated across all active projects.

• Manage and maintain project data using cloud-based software, encompassing RFIs, submittals, drawings, and project logs.

• Assist with pricing inquiries by collecting quotes, organizing cost data, and aiding the Project Manager in budget management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required.

• Demonstrated experience in construction project management or a comparable role.

• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry regulations.

• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Capability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Proficiency in project management software and the MS Office Suite.

• Familiarity with relevant software tools and platforms utilized for estimating and scheduling within the construction sector.
