This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Receive and address prescription refill requests via phone, email, fax, and Telephone Encounter.
• Confirm the legitimacy and correctness of prescription refill requests in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Accurately prepare and dispense prescription refills efficiently, following organizational procedures.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Gather and assess data, monitor key performance indicators, present insights to departmental leadership, and identify trends.
• Comply with designated schedules and quality metrics while upholding productivity and efficiency.
• Offer administrative assistance to clinical staff and managers for special projects, studies, and reports related to medication refill initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to enhance workflow efficiency and improve patient care outcomes.
• Engage in communication with bilingual patients, physicians, and pharmacists regarding prescription refills.
• A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• At least three years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Medicare Part D, especially regarding pharmacy record review, claims, billing, and reimbursement regulations.
• Familiarity with HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and CMS security standards.
• Understanding of Medicare Part B and Part D coverage guidelines and payment methodologies.
• Proficient bilingual language skills—able to read, write, and converse in both Spanish and English.
• Basic computer and typing skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, internet usage, and email communication.
• A current, unrestricted professional license is required.
• Medical Assistants must possess certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants or be a Registered Medical Assistant with the American Medical Technologists.
• Capability to read, analyze, and interpret company software, guidelines, health references, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to effectively present information and address inquiries.
• General writing proficiency with the ability to produce error-free work.
• Competence in calculating figures and amounts, applying basic algebra concepts.
• Skill in addressing and resolving problems using sound judgment.
