Principal Account Executive

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Create detailed sales strategies aimed at meeting or surpassing quotas.

• Identify and prioritize opportunities for high-risk, high-impact customers or partners assigned to you.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior and executive leadership.

• Develop and convey accurate real-time sales forecasts.

• Document customer account details, opportunities, commitments, conversations, visits, and calls in the CRM.

• Educate customers about company solutions and generate new opportunities.

• Collaborate with sales solution engineers for software demonstrations.

• Involve specialists and support resources to advance sales opportunities.

• Assess the feasibility of RFP requests and influence the development of responses.

• Formulate closing strategies and lead negotiation and contracting processes.

• Build strategic internal relationships to enhance sales execution.

• Attend and actively participate in trade shows and marketing initiatives.

• Educate and influence executives on future business and technical requirements.

• Act as a thought leader and subject matter expert for the sales team.

• Mentor, coach, and influence team members.

• Contribute to the enhancement and quality of sales processes.

• Provide insights on market trends, best practices, and industry intelligence.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

• Extensive experience as an Account Manager in a complex environment.

• Proven history of achieving year-over-year sales success.

• In-depth knowledge and expertise in sales, relevant industry, or technology solutions.

• Thorough understanding of best practices and market trends.

• Proficient in opportunity management and account planning tools.

• Capability to create comprehensive sales plans, manage high-risk, high-impact accounts, and provide accurate real-time sales forecasts.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to engage executive-level stakeholders with tact and discretion.

• Excellent negotiating and influencing abilities.

• Capacity to gain consensus across various departments and leadership levels.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

• Bonus: experience in advising senior and executive leadership, strategic relationship development, industry expertise, RFP evaluation, closing strategies, mentoring/coaching, and participation in trade shows or industry events.
