Linguist – Polish to Latvian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latvia, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Translate content between Polish and Latvian while ensuring cultural nuances and clarity are maintained.

• Edit and enhance language content for precision, tone, and contextual relevance across various digital platforms.

• Implement current language standards, usage trends, and best practices.

• Assess and offer structured feedback to elevate the quality of the language model.

• Work collaboratively with Production and cross-functional teams to localize content for language-specific markets.

• Assist in content development, localization, and quality assurance for digital tools and applications.

• Creatively modify text beyond the source material when transcreation is necessary.

• Complete application, testing, payment setup, and onboarding processes if selected.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in the target language(s).

• Graduate degree in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR a graduate degree in another field plus 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.

• Capacity to adhere to terminology and reference materials accurately.

• Current CV/resume in English.

• Dependable availability and commitment; most tasks necessitate a minimum of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week.

• Ability to work as an independent 1099 contractor.

• Must reside in a qualifying location and not be located in areas subject to international embargoes or sanctions.

• Capability to complete a domain-specific test if required.
