Linguist – Danish

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Denmark.

📋 Description

• Convert content between English and Danish while maintaining cultural nuances and clarity.

• Edit and enhance language content for precision, tone, and contextual relevance across various digital platforms.

• Implement current language standards, usage trends, and best practices.

• Assess and offer structured feedback to elevate language model quality.

• Collaborate with Production and cross-functional teams to localize content for Danish-speaking audiences.

• Assist in content creation, localization, and quality assurance for digital tools and applications.

• Creatively modify source text beyond mere translation when transcreation is needed.

• Conduct domain-specific testing when necessary.

• Complete onboarding and payment setup upon selection.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level fluency in the target language(s).

• A graduate degree in translation, linguistics, or language studies; OR a graduate degree in another field along with 2 years of full-time professional translation experience; OR 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.

• Capability to adhere to terminology and reference materials accurately.

• Consistent availability and dedication.

• Minimum availability of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week for most tasks.

• An updated CV/resume in English.

• Danish must be the native language.

• Contractors cannot be located in regions subject to international embargoes or sanctions.

• Contractors are accountable for their own tax obligations.
