Linguist – German

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Convert content between English and German while maintaining cultural sensitivity and clarity.

• Review and enhance language content for precision, tone, and contextual suitability across digital platforms.

• Implement contemporary language standards, usage trends, and best practices.

• Assess and offer structured feedback to elevate the quality of language models.

• Partner with Production and interdisciplinary teams to adapt content for German-speaking audiences.

• Assist in content creation, localization, and quality assurance for digital tools and applications.

• Innovatively modify source texts for transcreation when necessary.

• Perform domain-specific testing as needed.

• Complete onboarding, payment setup, and application processes following selection.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level expertise in the target language(s), specifically German.

• A degree in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR

• A degree in another discipline combined with 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR

• 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.

• Capability to adhere to terminology and reference materials accurately.

• Dependable availability and dedication.

• Most responsibilities demand a minimum of 2 hours daily or 10 hours weekly.

• CV/resume must be presented in English.

• Contractors cannot operate in regions under international embargoes or sanctions.

• Contractors are accountable for their own tax responsibilities.
