
Enterprise Account Executive, Salesforce for Nonprofits

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +15 more states.
• Identify, pursue, and cultivate new business opportunities within designated territories.
• Generate leads and build a pipeline through proactive outbound sales efforts.
• Utilize and expand personal network to establish strategic relationships and encourage referrals.
• Develop cooperative co-selling partnerships with Salesforce Account Executives and Regional Vice Presidents.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on innovative lead generation campaigns.
• Provide insights on lead channels, qualifiers, and target audience.
• Convert client data strategies and technology requirements into Idealist Consulting solutions.
• Foster and maintain robust relationships with clients and prospects.
• Schedule and conduct sales calls, discovery sessions, estimate reviews, and follow-ups.
• Oversee the creation of Statements of Work and negotiate contracts.
• Ensure a seamless transition from sales to service deployment.
• Drive sales strategy in accordance with established scoping processes and norms.
• Keep precise records of sales activities and opportunities using established systems and templates.
• Collaborate with internal Salesforce resources to meet client requirements and facilitate deal closure.
• Log opportunities within partner portals as necessary.
• Offer strategic guidance and mentorship to junior sales team members.
• Coordinate prompt and detailed responses to RFPs.
• Provide advice on service iteration and development as market conditions evolve.
• Represent the company at Salesforce industry events, conferences, and seminars.
• Stay updated on Salesforce industry trends, products, and best practices.
• Contribute to the continual enhancement of sales processes and strategies.
• Meet or surpass KPI targets, including quarterly bookings and closed/won opportunities.
• Some travel may be required.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience selling Salesforce solutions to nonprofits.
• Strong understanding of nonprofit business processes and core values.
• Experience leading complex enterprise sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
• Proven history of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Experience with market fluctuations, analysis, and navigation.
• Demonstrated success in relationship building with strong connections in the Salesforce for Nonprofit community.
• Experience in networking through events; participation in Salesforce World Tours and Dreamforce is a plus.
• Passionate about technology and the impact of digital transformation.
• Experience guiding nonprofits through data strategy assessments or digital transformation journeys.
• Familiarity with creating complex Statements of Work and negotiating contracts.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities.
• Experience in translating company go-to-market goals into a cohesive sales strategy.
• Background in consultative sales and/or familiarity with the Sandler Sales technique.
• Proficient in collaborating using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, Quip, and Slack.
• Salesforce Admin certification or a similar qualification is a plus.
• Strong LinkedIn presence.
• Previous nonprofit experience.
• Experience working in international markets.
