
Enterprise Account Executive, Salesforce for Nonprofits

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +15 more states.
• Identify, pursue, and cultivate new business opportunities within designated territories.
• Generate leads and build a pipeline through proactive outbound sales efforts.
• Utilize and expand personal networks to establish strategic relationships and encourage referrals.
• Develop collaborative co-selling partnerships with Salesforce Account Executives and Regional Vice Presidents.
• Work alongside marketing to create innovative lead generation campaigns.
• Provide guidance on lead channels, qualifiers, and target audiences.
• Convert client data strategies and technology needs into Idealist Consulting solutions.
• Establish and maintain robust relationships with clients and potential clients.
• Organize and conduct sales calls, discovery meetings, estimate reviews, and follow-ups.
• Facilitate the creation of Statements of Work (SOW) and negotiate contracts.
• Ensure a seamless transition from sales to service deployment.
• Drive sales strategy in accordance with established scoping processes and norms.
• Keep accurate records of sales activities and opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal Salesforce resources to meet client needs and achieve deal closure.
• Log opportunities within partner portals.
• Offer strategic guidance and mentorship to junior sales team members.
• Coordinate comprehensive RFP responses.
• Provide advice on service iteration and development as the market evolves.
• Represent the company at Salesforce industry events, conferences, and seminars.
• Stay updated on Salesforce industry trends, products, and best practices.
• Contribute to the enhancement of sales processes and strategies.
• Achieve or surpass KPI targets, including quarterly bookings and opportunities closed/won.
• Candidates must currently reside in Arkansas, California, Colorado, D.C., Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, or Washington.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience selling Salesforce solutions to nonprofits.
• Strong understanding of nonprofit business processes and values.
• Experience in leading complex enterprise sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
• Proven history of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Experience with market fluctuations, analysis, and navigation.
• Established record of relationship building with strong connections in the Salesforce for Nonprofit community.
• Experience in building networks through events.
• Passion for technology and the transformative power of digital solutions.
• Experience guiding nonprofits through data strategy assessments or digital transformation initiatives.
• Proficient in complex SOW creation and contract negotiations.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities.
• Experience in translating company go-to-market strategies into effective sales approaches.
• Familiarity with consultative sales and/or Sandler Sales techniques.
• Proficient in collaborating using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, Quip, and Slack.
