English to Turkish MTPE, AI Translation Evaluator – Software Localization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Evaluate machine-translated and AI-generated Turkish content for accuracy, fluency, and usability to determine if the content is ready for publication or needs post-editing.

• Recognize and categorize translation errors based on established quality standards, which include mistranslations, omissions and additions, AI hallucinations, grammar and syntax mistakes, spelling and punctuation errors, terminology inconsistencies, tone and style discrepancies, as well as formatting and localization concerns.

• Confirm compliance with approved terminology and style guides.

• Ensure correct handling of variables, placeholders, UI strings, and formatting specifications.

• Validate consistency throughout software interfaces and technical documentation.

• Offer linguistic insights to enhance the quality of machine translation and AI translation.

• Adhere to project-specific quality frameworks and localization protocols.

• Work collaboratively with localization managers, quality leads, and project teams.

• Uphold high standards of linguistic precision and user experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native fluency in Turkish (Turkey) with an exceptional command of written English.

• A minimum of 5 years of professional freelance experience focusing on software localization, IT translation, MT Evaluation, MT Post-Editing, and AI Translation Review.

• A Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Languages, Localization, or a related discipline.

• Currently living and working within a US, Canada, or Latin America time zone.

• Strong comprehension of software localization processes and industry best practices.

• Ability to evaluate translation quality independently and consistently.

• Preferred experience with leading technology firms, software vendors, SaaS providers, or enterprise IT organizations.
