This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Korea, +2 more countries.
• Adapt in-app content for the Traditional Chinese market.
• Conduct Traditional Chinese–Japanese translation and localization of in-app educational and marketing materials from a pedagogical viewpoint.
• Refine and enhance translated/localized content based on quality assurance tasks to improve the learning experience.
• Develop and compose in-app educational resources, such as lesson scripts, activities, and vocabulary lists, for Japanese learners with varying levels of proficiency in Traditional Chinese under guidance and training.
• Assist with content-related projects, including script uploads, quality assurance of lessons, and coordination of operational tasks under training and supervision.
• Follow directions from the manager, execute instructions, complete assignments, and maintain transparent end-to-end communication.
• Produce high-quality Japanese content tailored for the Traditional Chinese market with the benefit of training and support.
• Native proficiency in Traditional Chinese and native or near-native writing and speaking skills in Japanese.
• Thorough understanding of both languages and insight into the current landscape of Japanese learning in Traditional Chinese.
• Proven experience and proficiency in Traditional Chinese–Japanese translation and localization.
• Background in Japanese teaching, language pedagogy, or curriculum development.
• Exceptional attention to detail coupled with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative.
• Enthusiasm for technology-enhanced language learning and a willingness to adopt and utilize advanced technologies in the role.
• Proficient in English.
• Quick learner, collaborative team member, effective communicator, and innovative problem-solver.
• Preferred: Experience within educational technology (EdTech).
• Preferred: Familiarity with AI tools, including LLMs, generators, or internal tools, to design instructional materials that are pedagogically sound and scalable.
• Expected availability of 15–20 hours per week on average, with a relatively regular work schedule most of the time.
• Clear communication with the manager is essential.
