Caption Translator, English to French

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Translate captions/subtitles, documents, web pages, and software.

• Execute Machine Translation Post Editing (MTPE).

• Carry out transcreation tasks.

• Adapt translations to a specified word count while preserving meaning.

• Manage the translation database using Translation Management Software.

• Ensure quality assurance throughout the translation process.

• Utilize a diverse array of media and translation software.

• Address issues related to translation, localization, and cultural nuances.

• Collaborate with other departments to deliver translation services.

• Implement feedback and modifications when feasible.

• Collaborate with fellow translators and report directly to the project manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in communications or linguistics.

• A minimum of four years of experience in the translation industry.

• Proficient in various Translation Management System tools and software.

• Strong understanding of the translation process, terminology, and localization techniques.

• Familiarity with localization guidelines and standards.

• Capable of converting written materials into a second language.

• Excellent translation, writing, and communication abilities.

• Fluency in at least two of the target languages.

• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

• Additional certification in Linguistics is advantageous.
