This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
β’ Collaborate with managers in the restaurant and hospitality sectors to provide comprehensive service solutions for commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and various specialty food service equipment.
β’ Exhibit your mechanical skills, troubleshooting abilities, and proficiency in interpreting diagrams and schematics.
β’ Accurately troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Commercial Kitchen Equipment, encompassing cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and other specialty food service tools.
β’ Liaise with manufacturers as necessary to assist with diagnostics and parts identification.
β’ Consult with the Technical Assistance Group for technical support while in the field.
β’ Efficiently install all ordered parts for the customer in a timely and professional manner, adhering to company policy.
β’ Promote and suggest additional services offered by Smart Care to customers when appropriate.
β’ Generate precise and timely administrative documents, including work orders, time reporting, receipts, and truck stock inventory.
β’ Adhere to safe work practices and accident prevention protocols.
β’ Keep a tidy and organized service vehicle, along with accurate inventory of parts and tools.
β’ Maintain productivity levels consistent with company standards.
β’ High School diploma or equivalent required.
β’ Minimum of 1 year of technical experience in refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military experience.
β’ Must possess a valid driverβs license and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record.
β’ Willingness and capability to participate in the emergency on-call rotation, which includes nights and weekends.
β’ Availability for occasional overnight travel as necessary.
β’ Preferred qualifications include relevant technical training, licenses, and/or certifications (e.g., EPA, CFESA).
β’ Preferred experience in repairing commercial refrigeration and/or commercial cooking equipment.
β’ Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
β’ On-the-job training with access to on-demand technical support, along with ongoing formal hands-on and classroom training at our National Training Kitchen.
