This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Present Planar’s visual display technology solutions to the design community.
• Enhance company market share and revenue from projects involving professional AV consultants and architects.
• Report directly to the General Manager of the CAD Group.
• Collaborate with senior-level clients and internal teams to comprehend AV consultant needs and preferences.
• Create and execute a strategic plan aimed at generating sales from AV consultant-designed projects.
• Identify new growth opportunities associated with Planar’s product offerings.
• Build and sustain relationships with AV consultants and architects.
• Develop partnerships and executive connections to exchange business ideas and sales prospects.
• Identify, qualify, and assess business opportunities through industry consultants and architects.
• Work in conjunction with Operations, Research & Development, Marketing, and Sales teams to guarantee exceptional service delivery and enablement plans.
• Cultivate a culture focused on high performance, accountability, adaptability, continuous improvement, and innovation.
• Evaluate new business initiatives, programs, and operations to uphold performance standards.
• Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Represent Planar externally with customers and engage in industry associations, trade groups, and vendor-organized events.
• Monitor current trends and anticipate future developments affecting Planar’s products and services.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through sales, fulfillment, and ongoing relationship management with major AV consulting firms.
• Preferred bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of AV selling experience and established relationships in the AV consultant and architecture community.
• Proven experience in delivering content and technology solutions within the AV consultant community.
• Extensive experience across all aspects of Customer Relationship Management.
• Strong understanding of the consultant/architect community, market dynamics, and requirements.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving market environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills.
• Positive, proactive, solutions-oriented leadership with robust communication and emotional intelligence skills.
• Knowledge of Salesforce CRM is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and appropriate vehicle insurance are required.
• Strong familiarity with the Audio Visual and IT industry.
• Exceptional business development and technical sales abilities.
• Outstanding follow-up skills.
• Ability to function effectively in a team-oriented organization.
• Proficient computer skills and a quick learner of new technologies.
• Capable of multitasking and managing priorities efficiently.
• Self-sufficient and able to work independently.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time or more.
