This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• Oversee and coordinate the business capture efforts within the designated geographic region.
• Discover new business opportunities and formulate winning strategies for securing contracts.
• Design and implement targeted growth strategies across specific market segments, clients, and strategic initiatives.
• Analyze key customers, programs, applications, competitors, and emerging opportunities to pinpoint areas for profitable growth.
• Convert market and customer insights into targeted account and program plans, capture strategies, and long-term growth initiatives.
• Interact with customers and industry stakeholders to discern evolving requirements, technological trends, and unmet market demands.
• Disseminate customer and market insights throughout the organization.
• Collaborate with Business Unit Managers, Engineering, and functional leaders to influence product and technology roadmaps.
• Formulate strategic and tactical plans to secure profitable new business.
• Conduct research on marketing intelligence and competitive data for focused pursuits.
• Supply price-to-win and win-strategy recommendations to engineering and sales teams for customer proposals.
• Relay voice-of-customer feedback to sales, engineering, and senior management.
• Lead customer visits and examine current and emerging customer needs.
• Leverage internal sales, marketing, and engineering resources to support integrated business development strategies.
• Act as the capture lead throughout the Bid/No Bid decision-making process.
• Implement front-end business development strategies.
• Engage in decisions regarding teaming and other pursuit agreements.
• Establish long-term relationships with key decision-makers at selected strategic accounts.
• Generate and uphold order forecasts for targeted strategic accounts.
• Monitor opportunities from lead generation through negotiation and order booking.
• Communicate updates to customers, identify challenges, and assist Business Unit Managers in reaching business objectives.
• Travel frequently to customer sites, up to 60% of the time.
• Bachelor’s Degree is mandatory.
• An MBA is an advantage.
• 5–10 years of extensive business knowledge with in-depth expertise in sales within the aerospace and defense sector.
• Proven ability to achieve results that meet business objectives while surpassing customer expectations.
• Exceptional sales experience in aerospace and/or defense electronics.
• Prior sales experience in military electronics is considered beneficial.
• Strong financial acumen.
• Must be a U.S. Person or someone who qualifies for a Department of State or Department of Commerce License.
