This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Analyze operational priorities of the US Army and translate field requirements into tactical radio solutions.
• Assist with technical planning, network setup, and the execution of live field trials, modernizations, and user assessments.
• Work in partnership with Applications Engineering for ongoing testing and competitive analysis.
• Coordinate with Business Development regarding technical specifications and strategic objectives.
• Create and showcase technical demonstrations for tactical edge networking.
• Provide technical insights and review support for responses to RFI/RFP proposals.
• Conduct market research to discover industry integrations and evaluate end-to-end network architectures.
• Interact with technical stakeholders across Army program offices, Science & Technology leads, Army Futures Command, and research institutions.
• Collect field feedback and operational needs, convert them into inputs for the product roadmap, and monitor engineering progress.
• Travel extensively, up to 50%, for field tests, client meetings, events, and demonstrations.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of proven experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles; OR a High School Diploma/GED with over 5 years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Familiarity with or working knowledge of Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic knowledge of RF test equipment, like spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the capability to acquire one within 15 months of hiring.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to client requirements under U.S. government contracts.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
• Basic understanding of the U.S. Army's tactical procurement processes, network modernization priorities established by Army Futures Command, or unmanned systems (UGV/UAV).
• Practical experience with TCP/IP networking, Linux environments, or scripting languages (such as Python, C++) for test automation.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities to effectively convey technical concepts.
• Capability to work efficiently in a remote team environment.
• Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
