This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Achieve revenue goals for hardware and software on a quarterly and annual basis.
• Broaden the customer base by targeting and securing new berry growers and companies involved in substrate and soil operations, both domestically and internationally.
• Enter new markets by pinpointing target accounts and grower profiles where AROYA can showcase its unique value proposition.
• Cultivate strategic relationships with senior and executive decision-makers, key growers, and agronomy communities.
• Personally oversee deals from initial discussions through to adoption and expansion in areas without an established pipeline.
• Construct and manage a pipeline of opportunities at various stages, ensuring a clear and predictable understanding of opportunity progress.
• Identify and establish relationships with distributors and channel partners in targeted markets.
• Provide market intelligence, customer requirements, and channel insights to product, marketing, and leadership teams to influence the roadmap, pricing, and positioning.
• A minimum of seven (7) years in business development, strategic sales, or market development, with direct responsibility for grower, customer, and partner interactions.
• A proven history of introducing products or solutions into emerging markets and developing them into sustainable and scalable opportunities, including initiating and closing strategic, long-cycle deals in the absence of an existing pipeline or brand recognition.
• Full professional proficiency in both English and Spanish, in written and spoken forms.
• A well-established network among growers, distributors, or agricultural industry partners, along with the credibility to engage with senior and executive-level individuals within these organizations.
• Experience in selling or deploying technical solutions, such as hardware, software, IoT, sensors, or precision irrigation technologies, within agricultural or field-based operations.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 70%, primarily throughout the United States and Mexico, possessing a valid passport and the capability to travel across borders without restrictions.
• A bachelor's degree in agriculture, agronomy, business, engineering, or a related field.
• Existing connections within major berry marketers or the broader berry supply chain.
• Experience in controlled environment agriculture (CEA), high-value crops, or agronomy, along with familiarity in substrate and soil growing systems.
• Understanding of precision irrigation, crop steering, or substrate and soil science, including EC, VWC, and water and nutrient management.
• Experience in opening new international markets or managing cross-border commercial relationships in Latin America.
• Experience in building or selling through distributors and channel partners in the agricultural sector.
• Industry-recognized certifications pertinent to agriculture, agronomy, or commercial sales.
