This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee both inbound and outbound sales prospecting along with pipeline development.
• Discover, engage, and qualify new leads effectively.
• Cultivate knowledge about the industry and products.
• Initiate impactful conversations with potential partners.
• Prepare qualified leads for transition to a closer or evaluate their readiness to adopt Wayfinder’s curriculum.
• Collaborate with educational leaders and foster relationships.
• Assist in sales enablement initiatives.
• Gain insights into Wayfinder’s K–12 solutions.
• Execute market research to align offerings with the requirements of school districts.
• Generate leads and pinpoint potential partners across school districts nationwide.
• Oversee and maintain the sales pipeline from initial contact to handoff to sales executives.
• Utilize Salesforce, Outreach.io, cold emailing, cold calling, and objection handling techniques to create sales opportunities.
• Articulate and convincingly convey Wayfinder’s value propositions to address objections and secure meetings with district decision-makers.
• A Bachelor’s degree or 2–5 years of pertinent professional experience, including 1–2 years in sales or business development with a proven record of surpassing lead generation targets.
• Proficiency in cold calling, follow-up, and handling objections.
• Capability to build trust and engage effectively with high-level school district administrators.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills across phone, Slack, and email platforms.
• A resourceful, analytical thinker who enjoys devising creative solutions and tackling complex challenges.
• Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; adaptable, resilient, and comfortable managing ambiguity independently.
• Demonstrates enthusiasm, persistence, and a “let’s figure it out” mindset while balancing shifting priorities with consistent execution.
• Prior experience or a demonstrated interest in the EdTech sector and/or K-12 education is preferred.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM software is preferred.
• Some travel for conferences will be necessary.
