This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +10 more states.
• Identify, qualify, and secure new LTL business while acquiring new customer logos.
• Generate and finalize new business within the Maersk Ground Freight portfolio.
• Utilize data, insights, and intuition to pinpoint ideal target customers.
• Conduct discovery sessions to comprehend shipper freight profiles, lane structures, service requirements, and challenges.
• Present and market standard, expedited, volume, cross-border, and accessorial-heavy LTL solutions.
• Collaborate with teams in pricing, operations, carrier management, solution engineering, product development, and legal matters.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements effectively.
• Cultivate relationships with decision-makers in transportation, supply chain, and procurement.
• Represent the organization at industry events, trade exhibitions, and customer meetings.
• Ensure accurate pipeline and activity reporting in SFDC/Salesforce.
• Achieve or surpass new-logo revenue and margin objectives.
• Monitor prospecting efforts, win rates, and sales cycle metrics.
• Oversee the entire sales lifecycle from initial contact to contract signing.
• Develop and sustain a robust sales pipeline through proactive outreach and targeted account strategies.
• Minimum of 7 years in new business acquisition, preferably in ground freight in the United States, particularly LTL (standard and white glove deliveries).
• Demonstrated success in acquiring new-logo customers through data-driven targeting, strategic outreach, and consultative selling techniques.
• Comprehensive knowledge of domestic transportation (LTL, FTL, Dedicated, Final mile, pool point solutions).
• Strong analytical skills coupled with a commercial mindset.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Proficient in utilizing technology for prospecting and target identification.
• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
• Willingness to travel 30–50% of the time.
