This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Act as the primary point of contact for educating stakeholders on PrEP and enhancing patient access to Gilead’s long-acting injectable products.
• Lead the matrix team, which includes field reimbursement managers, medical liaisons, nurse educators, national account directors, sales, and market access marketing.
• Secure inclusion on formularies, ensure placement on Electronic Medical Records systems, and establish product pathways.
• Establish, nurture, and enhance relationships within Integrated Delivery Networks, targeted healthcare systems/hospitals, and FQHC/community clinics.
• Formulate overall account strategies and execute contract pull-throughs where necessary.
• Drive demand and accessibility for long-acting injectable products by engaging with influencers and decision-makers.
• Align strategies with Medical, Sales, Marketing, and other operational departments.
• Implement defined call plans for key decision-makers and prescribers in assigned accounts.
• Collaborate with Directors of Pharmacy, heads of infectious disease departments, and Medical/P&T Evaluation Committees.
• Create and maintain detailed account profiles that outline protocol development procedures, pull-through targets, product pathway/protocol placements, and key decision-makers.
• Serve as the cross-functional lead for each account, ensuring the maintenance of strategic account plans across functions.
• Execute account plans through consistent in-person visits, sales support, contract strategy, and the dissemination of clinical, efficacy, and safety information.
• Direct strategic launch planning and devise tactical strategies for product launches and expansion across cross-functional teams.
• Meet all necessary onsite visitation and hospital credentialing requirements.
• Bachelor’s Degree with ten years of experience, OR a Master’s Degree with eight years of experience, OR a PhD with two years of experience.
• Prior experience in account management or managed markets.
• Familiarity with HIV or PrEP.
• Cultural humility and an understanding of the stigmatization associated with HIV/PrEP.
• Experience with a buy-and-bill product.
• Contracting experience.
• Experience launching new products in institutions.
• At least two years of direct experience in a corporate, regional, national, or key account role.
• Experience with Direct Access, Payer, or health systems.
• Ability to motivate, influence, and lead without direct authority.
• Experience in executing strategic plans for physician and account management.
• Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation skills, business acumen, and analytical capability.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively with clear deliverables across various customers within tight deadlines.
• Self-motivated with outstanding organizational skills.
• Capable of working both independently and as a part of a matrix leadership team.
• Willingness to travel up to 25–50% of the time, including overnight trips.
• Ability to fulfill onsite visitation or hospital credentialing requirements, if applicable, including vaccinations, drug and background screenings, and other protocols set by assigned institutions.
