This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
β’ Manage the entire sales process from lead identification to deal closure with State, Local, and Higher Education clients in the Western United States.
β’ Generate new customer acquisition through focused outbound initiatives, engagement with senior leaders, and relationship development within SLED organizations.
β’ Create and implement a sales strategy along with prioritization for the SLED market within the designated territory.
β’ Identify opportunities and partners to enhance regional growth.
β’ Serve as a trusted advisor to SLED clients and prospects by comprehending their objectives and crafting AI solutions that provide measurable benefits.
β’ Collaborate with channel and local partners, including distributors, VARs, and major system integrators.
β’ Utilize senior-level relationships with executives and government decision-makers.
β’ Work alongside Product and Engineering teams on enterprise and public-sector solutions.
β’ Partner with SDRs and Marketing to stimulate top-of-funnel activity and drive territorial growth.
β’ Oversee discovery, technical and business validation, proof-of-concept, procurement, and deal closure within a collaborative selling environment.
β’ Offer customer-focused feedback for the prioritization of the Product and Engineering roadmap.
β’ Minimum of 5 years of direct public sector sales experience in the SLED market.
β’ Demonstrated success in achieving $2M+ annual quotas.
β’ Extensive understanding of SLED procurement cycles and decision-making protocols.
β’ Experience collaborating with resellers, VARs, and distributors.
β’ A well-established regional network that includes state and local departments and agencies, prime contractors, and industry associations.
β’ Background in selling SaaS, AI/ML, or enterprise software solutions to government clients.
β’ High adaptability to ambiguity and capability to build a market from inception.
β’ Strong organizational abilities and aptitude for managing multiple stakeholders in fast-paced deals.
β’ Creativity and solid technical expertise for structuring partnerships.
β’ Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences.
β’ Preference for candidates based in California, Texas, Washington, Arizona, or Colorado.
β’ Willingness to travel 25β35% of the time.
