
Yardi Consultant – Residential Implementations, Advisory

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Oversee the complete Yardi implementation and optimization processes, from discovery to hypercare.
• Take charge of onboarding platforms from RealPage/OneSite, Entrata, AppFolio, MRI, ResMan, Rent Manager, and other systems.
• Lead conversions from Yardi to Yardi and manage database consolidations.
• Document existing processes, pinpoint gaps, and design future workflows.
• Convert business requirements into Yardi configuration, reporting, data, integration, and technical specifications.
• Configure, support, and provide guidance on the residential Yardi stack.
• Set up, test, and troubleshoot SIPP interfaces and other data feeds.
• Implement affordable housing programs alongside standard operations.
• Create scalable core configurations for accounting, property management, leasing, renewals, deposits, and affordable certification workflows.
• Manage activities related to data migration, validation, reconciliation, and conversion.
• Design and support user acceptance testing (UAT) plans, test scripts, defect resolutions, client readiness, training, and adoption.
• Collaborate with Support teams during and after implementations and act as an escalation point.
• Conduct client workshops with operations, accounting, asset management, IT, and executive stakeholders.
• Offer practical solutions, identify risks, and assist stakeholders in making informed decisions.
• Handle multiple client priorities and competing deadlines effectively.
• Discover opportunities to enhance client value through advisory, implementation, reporting, data, and support services.
• Provide help desk assistance as required.
• Mentor junior and mid-level consultants.
• Contribute to the development of implementation methodologies, templates, conversion tools, and best practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams, Yardi, vendors, and client resources.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Yardi residential environments, particularly Voyager 8 and RentCafe.
• Strong preference for North American multifamily operating or accounting experience.
• Experience in onboarding or migrating from at least one non-Yardi platform, including source-data extraction, mapping, and reconciliation.
• Proficiency in Yardi-to-Yardi conversions, database consolidations, or multi-entity Voyager environments.
• Experience across both conventional/market-rate and affordable property portfolios.
• Knowledge of US and Canadian regulatory requirements and their implications for configuration.
• Familiarity with North American multifamily property accounting.
• Exceptional client-facing communication abilities.
• Capacity to work independently with minimal oversight in a remote, distributed team setting.
• Experience in mentoring, coaching, or developing less experienced consultants or analysts.
• Proven experience in leading or assuming a senior role in full-cycle implementations, upgrades, optimizations, or complex module rollouts.
• Strong skills in discovery and requirements-gathering.
• Solid project management instincts.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Real Estate, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for client workshops, training sessions, and go-lives, up to 25% of the time.
• Preferred: Proficiency in SQL Server, including queries, ETL, and data validation.
• Preferred: Familiarity with YSR, SSRS, Yardi Report Designer, Excel, or Python.
• Preferred: Experience with residential integrations.
• Preferred: Background in consulting, professional services, or client-facing advisory roles.
• Preferred: Experience as a Yardi product owner, business systems leader, implementation lead, or business relationship manager.
• Preferred: Experience collaborating with external consultants, Yardi teams, internal IT, accounting, asset management, and operations stakeholders.
• Preferred: Experience in global or distributed delivery models.
