xECM Engineering Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and implement OpenText Extended ECM for Engineering solutions that facilitate engineering document management, project execution, and asset lifecycle processes.

• Design and set up state-based workflows for document reviews, approvals, and change management.

• Offer technical leadership regarding content repository setup, metadata management, security frameworks, and scalability.

• Foster secure collaboration between internal engineering teams and external partners through Business Workspaces and secure file-sharing tools.

• Track system performance, workflow efficiency, and project progress using dashboards and analytics.

• Suggest system and process enhancements.

• Produce technical documentation.

• Provide training to end-users and IT teams on system functionalities and best practices.

• Collaborate with engineers across various functional areas.

• Act as the primary point of contact between the engineering team and the OpenText support team.

• Report directly to the Director of Delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–12+ years of experience in supporting enterprise ECM platforms.

• 5+ years of practical experience with OpenText Content Server AMS/support.

• Experience in AMS or managed services settings involving ticketing systems and SLAs.

• Familiarity with supporting OpenText Extended ECM (xECM) or SAP-integrated environments.

• Experience with OpenText Archive Center, Core Capture, or VIM.

• Knowledge of authentication/SSO integrations (LDAP, AD, SAML).

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 5+ years of experience with OpenText ECM solutions, including Content Server and Extended ECM.

• Experience with xECM for Engineering version 22 or higher.

• 3+ years of experience in engineering document management or asset lifecycle processes.

• Expertise in OpenText Content Server architecture, including repository configuration, workflow design, and Smart UI customization.

• Proficiency in Web Reports for custom development and reporting.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication abilities to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be fully available from 9am to 5pm EST on all US working days.

• Must be able to pass Federal background checks as required by NERC/FERC regulations.

• OpenText certifications are advantageous.

• Background in energy, manufacturing, or construction is preferred.

• Knowledge of security standards such as TLS/SSL and AES-256.

• Experience with Azure DevOps and Scaled Agile processes.
