Workshop Facilitator – Anti-Indigenous Racism

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Lead Module 5: Addressing Anti-Indigenous Racism as part of the PPD program.

• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive educational atmosphere.

• Contribute personal experiences and knowledge as an Indigenous individual (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit) to enrich student education.

• Assist students in navigating case studies and discussions to link course material to practical applications, especially in healthcare and human services.

• Uphold Stenberg’s dedication to equity, diversity, inclusion, and Indigeneity (EDII) in all teaching and learning endeavors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Indigenous identity: First Nations, Métis, or Inuit.

• Proven experience as a facilitator, educator, or trainer.

• Deep understanding of issues concerning Indigenous Peoples, particularly regarding anti-Indigenous racism.

• Awareness of Indigenous experiences within the healthcare and human services sectors.

• Excellent communication skills with the capability to engage varied student demographics.

• Preferred: background in post-secondary or adult education.

• Preferred: knowledge of equity, diversity, and inclusion frameworks.
