This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Prepare, submit, and monitor Workers' Compensation rate, rule, form, and loss cost filings via SERFF and relevant state filing systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external filing partners to ensure prompt and precise filing submissions.
• Draft replies to regulatory objections and information requests from state insurance departments.
• Track filing statuses and maintain documentation that supports regulatory approvals and implementation actions.
• Ensure compliance with state-specific Workers' Compensation regulations across all jurisdictions where MSIG USA operates.
• Monitor NCCI circulars, state bulletins, and independent bureau updates to assess their effects on MSIG USA products.
• Oversee the review and implementation of bureau loss cost, rating, rule, and form modifications.
• Collaborate with Actuarial to facilitate loss cost multiplier filings, rate adjustments, and associated regulatory submissions.
• Maintain tracking tools and implementation timelines to guarantee bureau changes are adopted within necessary deadlines.
• Assist in assessing regulatory and competitive implications of bureau updates and market shifts.
• Support the creation and upkeep of Workers' Compensation products, forms, endorsements, and regulations.
• Work alongside Product Development and IT teams to draft and validate business requirements for enhancements to the policy administration system.
• Engage in product launches, state expansions, and system implementation projects.
• Assist with testing and validation related to product modifications and regulatory updates.
• Act as a subject matter expert on Workers' Compensation regulatory and filing requirements.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Actuarial, Compliance, Legal, Claims, and Operations teams to support business goals and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide regular updates on filing activities, approval statuses, bureau modifications, and implementation schedules.
• Support internal and external audits by maintaining organized and audit-ready filing documentation.
• Identify areas for improvement in filing processes, reporting capabilities, and workflow efficiencies.
• Maintain filing procedures, templates, and documentation standards.
• Support the utilization and enhancement of filing management tools and technology platforms.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives that enhance accuracy, productivity, and regulatory responsiveness.
• 5-7 years of experience in Commercial Workers’ Compensation, Product Development, Regulatory Compliance, or State Filings.
• Proficient understanding of NCCI manuals, bureau procedures, Workers' Compensation rating structures, and state regulatory requirements.
• Experience using SERFF and state insurance department filing systems.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with regulatory filings, bureau adoption projects, or insurance product development efforts.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supporting multi-state commercial lines insurance products.
• Familiarity with policy administration systems, filing management platforms, and insurance product implementation processes.
