Windows Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Servers, including versions 2016, 2019, and 2022.

• Monitor system performance, availability, and security.

• Oversee Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other Windows services.

• Manage Exchange environments, specifically Exchange 2016/2019 and Office 365 Exchange Online.

• Execute system updates, patches, and backups.

• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.

• Develop and uphold disaster recovery strategies.

• Handle file and print services, user permissions, and access controls.

• Automate routine tasks utilizing PowerShell or other scripting tools.

• Collaborate with development teams for application deployment and maintenance.

• Manage incidents and facilitate communication with users, application owners, and senior stakeholders.

• Enhance infrastructure stability and performance by identifying recurring issues and recommending permanent solutions, including those related to Linux.

• Utilize engineering automation tools and machine-learning techniques to identify production health discrepancies and automate health restoration.

• Identify processes that are suitable for automation and work alongside the Engineering team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Windows administration and application support.

• Strong understanding of both Unix and Windows Server architectures.

• Proficiency in Windows, Unix, and Linux operating systems, commands, utilities, and Configuration Management Tools.

• Expertise in managing Windows Server environments.

• In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.

• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.

• Familiarity with TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, and VPNs.

• Basic troubleshooting skills for MS Exchange 2016/2019 and the M365 suite.

• Experience with Dell iDRAC, HP iLO, VCenter/vSphere, or similar remote management interfaces.

• Practical experience with PowerShell scripting for automation of Windows OS and applications.

• Hands-on experience in the administration of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, server hardware, DNS, and DHCP.

• Advanced conversational proficiency in both English and Spanish is essential.

• Candidates residing in Mexico must comply with the specified work authorization/documentation requirements; foreign applicants must possess valid INE, CURP, NSS, and RFC.
