This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a subject matter expert in Contracts Administration for designated customer companies.
• Manage assigned customer contracts independently from the point of award through to completion and closeout.
• Analyze and interpret contracts, modifications, solicitations, amendments, clauses, and additional contractual documents.
• Identify and convey contractual requirements, obligations, risks, and potential impacts.
• Oversee periods of performance, funding, ceilings, option periods, contract line items, deliverables, reporting requirements, and milestones.
• Interpret and apply the FAR, relevant agency supplements, contract clauses, and customer-specific requirements.
• Review and manage contract modifications, including funding actions, scope alterations, periods of performance, labor categories, and contract line items.
• Monitor contract performance, highlighting upcoming actions, deadlines, and concerns.
• Recognize compliance issues and provide recommendations or escalate as necessary.
• Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date contract files and records.
• Assist with contract closeout procedures.
• Offer advice to assigned customer companies and provide guidance on contractual obligations and requirements.
• Collaborate with Program Management, Finance, Operations, Business Development, and other internal teams.
• Participate in contract reviews and customer meetings.
• Evaluate proposed modifications and assess their contractual, operational, and financial implications.
• Facilitate modification processing, approvals, and documentation.
• Track funding, option exercises, extensions, changes, and other lifecycle events.
• Support transitions, new awards, novations, transfers, extensions, and closeouts.
• Assist with internal reviews, audits, and compliance assessments.
• Share insights and best practices.
• Enhance processes, procedures, templates, controls, and contract lifecycle management systems.
• Aid in developing Contracts Administration guidance and training materials.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contracts Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Over 6 years of progressive experience in Government contract administration.
• Advanced knowledge of Contracts Administration principles and practices.
• Strong understanding of the FAR and relevant agency supplements.
• Experience in independently managing complex Government contracts.
• Familiarity with Firm-Fixed-Price, Time-and-Materials, Cost-Reimbursement, and/or Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity contracts.
• Experience in reviewing and interpreting contracts, modifications, solicitations, contract clauses, and other contractual documents.
• Proficient in administering contract modifications, funding actions, option periods, periods of performance, contract line items, and other contractual adjustments.
• Ability to identify contractual risks and offer practical recommendations.
• Strong grasp of the government contract lifecycle from award to closeout.
• Capacity to independently manage multiple contracts, priorities, and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to exercise sound contractual judgment and escalate issues appropriately.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Professional certification such as CFCM, CPCM, or similar is preferred.
• Experience in supporting small businesses and/or 8(a) government contractors is preferred.
• Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint or similar government contracting systems is preferred.
• Experience with contract lifecycle management systems is preferred.
• Background in supporting government contract audits, reviews, or compliance assessments is preferred.
• Experience in developing or delivering Contracts Administration training is preferred.
