This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Oversee a varied portfolio of government contracts of differing types, complexities, and scales.
• Recognize and advise program teams on risks related to contract costs and performance.
• Establish and nurture robust relationships with both internal and external customers.
• Act as the contractual authority for Project Managers, offering guidance on requirements.
• Collaborate with program teams and/or customers to address intricate challenges and provide effective solutions.
• Counsel program teams and organizational leadership on their contractual rights and obligations.
• Create and convey evaluations of contract terms, conditions, implications, and suggested alterations.
• Supervise program performance to ensure compliance with proposals, legal requirements, customer specifications, and government regulations.
• Compose and modify contract letters, change agreements, and responses related to contract performance.
• Implement, facilitate, and assist in program change management and resolve customer conflicts.
• Contribute to proposal efforts by aiding in price/cost proposals and corresponding narratives.
• Analyze, draft, and negotiate Teaming Agreements, NDAs, MOUs, MOAs, and other binding documents.
• Prepare and distribute information concerning contract status, compliance, modifications, deviations, negotiations, and terminations.
• Lead processes for contract initiation and closure.
• Advocate for sound business principles that support departmental and divisional objectives.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field with 12+ years of pertinent experience; or a Master's degree with 10+ years of experience; or 16+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Willingness to travel periodically for on-site meetings at Peraton facilities and/or customer locations.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational abilities and the capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal and external management.
• Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking capabilities.
• Practical experience and applied knowledge of Government contracts and subcontracts under FAR, DFARS, and relevant agency supplements.
• Experience in responding to customer solicitations, engaging in proposal and pre-award strategy and review meetings, conducting negotiations, and drafting/finalizing contracts.
• Understanding of basis of estimates (BOE), work breakdown structure (WBS), and cost and pricing principles.
• Proficiency in adhering to and implementing corporate and contract management requirements.
• Experience in executing contract closeout, including resolving outstanding issues, issuing final modifications and invoices, and coordinating contractor performance evaluations.
• Preferred: In-depth knowledge of various contract types, terms, and conditions.
• Preferred: Familiarity with commercial contracting frameworks/terms and conditions, including FAR Part 12 contracts and OTAs.
• Preferred: Experience in managing State and Local contracts.
• Preferred: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with contract management systems/tools.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence tools in contracts management support.
