Wind Farm Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Carry out both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on turbines and the associated site infrastructure.

• Adhere to GE manuals, specifications, and work instructions while executing assigned tasks and inspections.

• Execute maintenance, troubleshooting, and high voltage switching operations as necessary.

• Engage in annual maintenance, retrofit projects, major component exchanges, and issue resolution.

• Utilize GE software tools to maintain reports and submit technical inquiries.

• Ensure adherence to JSA, LOTO, and EHS policies, promptly reporting any issues.

• Make determinations regarding conformance or non-conformance after completing inspections.

• Immediately report errors, violations, incidents, or problems using GE reporting systems.

• Participate in on-call schedules for after-hours or weekend duties as required.

• Maintain and troubleshoot wind turbines at the Goyder South Wind Farm.

⛳️ Requirements

• Certified Electrician or qualified Mechanic.

• Skilled in fault finding for electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

• Capable of using computer systems and tools for monitoring tasks and managing documentation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Possess a current unrestricted driver's license.

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks at heights and be comfortable with heights.

• Dedicated to maintaining the highest safety standards, achieving high performance, and continuously improving to deliver optimal solutions.

• Independent, solutions-oriented, and well-organized in task management.

• Willingness to travel to other locations as necessary.
