This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Oversee and nurture enduring relationships with mortgage brokers.
• Ensure ongoing communication, assistance, and strategic partnerships to foster business expansion.
• Discover, develop, and enhance new business prospects through sales, marketing, and referral networks.
• Manage the broker review process and the introduction of new brokers.
• Inform brokers about loan package submission processes, underwriting procedures, loan programs, and compliance obligations.
• Keep brokers informed about updates to bank programs through email, phone calls, and face-to-face meetings.
• Address disputes between brokers and the bank.
• Engage in industry organizations to maintain the bank's presence within the mortgage broker sector.
• Organize and take part in after-hours events to foster connections, enhance brand visibility, and strengthen professional ties.
• Supervise the sales support team.
• Conduct performance assessments, coaching sessions, training, and necessary progressive disciplinary actions.
• Provide management with insights regarding service quality concerns.
• Develop, refine, and present tracking reports for senior management.
• Communicate with clients and bank personnel via email, telephone, postal mail, and in-person visits.
• Attend events at various broker locations.
• Travel locally up to 75% of the time.
• Complete additional tasks and projects assigned by management.
• Serve as an officer-level Mortgage Broker Sales Manager for First American Bank, a community bank established in Chicago with operations in Wisconsin and Florida.
• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of two years of experience in the field or a related area is required.
• Professional communication skills when interacting with both external and internal contacts.
• Ability to customize messages to suit the audience and context effectively.
• Proficient and concise written communication, including emails, letters, and digital platforms.
• Strong spelling and grammar skills.
• Professional demeanor, appearance, and presence.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a constructive, solutions-oriented mindset.
• Sound professional judgment to balance organizational and customer interests while mitigating risks.
• Cold calling sales capabilities with an assertive, positive, and tenacious approach.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 products and applications.
• Ability to prepare or review documents, procedures, and reports effectively.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and applications, adjusting responsibilities/workflows following system upgrades.
• Regular car travel to various locations throughout the market.
• Occasional out-of-state travel may be necessary.
• Availability for scheduled hours typically from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with the possibility of Saturdays and after-hours work as required.
