This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Formulate and implement a regional sales strategy that aligns with the company’s revenue, growth, and market development goals.
• Create annual and quarterly sales plans in collaboration with agency partners and establish quantifiable objectives.
• Analyze agency dashboards, CRM data, pipeline activities, forecasts, and key performance metrics.
• Foster and enhance relationships with agents, specifiers, electrical engineers, architects, distributors, contractors, national accounts, and other industry stakeholders.
• Identify coverage gaps and engage in the recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and development of new agents.
• Assist agents and clients through joint sales meetings, design discussions, presentations, product demonstrations, project meetings, and site visits.
• Provide ongoing education, product training, and market-oriented presentations.
• Identify and promote project opportunities from specification to order, coordinating internal resources to address commercial and technical challenges.
• Track competitor actions, local market conditions, customer feedback, and industry trends; relay actionable insights to sales, marketing, product, and support teams.
• Represent Casambi at regional and national trade shows, industry events, partner meetings, and professional organizations.
• Maintain precise records of accounts, contacts, projects, activities, forecasts, and next steps in HubSpot and other company platforms.
• Oversee regional resources, including travel arrangements, expense management, and prioritization of high-impact opportunities.
• As the region expands, recruit, mentor, coach, and develop two to three Regional Sales Managers.
• Conduct company business utilizing approved company devices, systems, and software such as Outlook, HubSpot, and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum of seven years of progressive experience in lighting, lighting controls, electrical supply, electrical design, or a closely related industry.
• Demonstrated success in outside sales across agency, specification, distribution, contractor, or OEM channels.
• Proven ability to develop territory plans, manage a sales pipeline, accurately forecast, and leverage performance data to enhance results.
• Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, written communication, presentation, and public speaking skills.
• Highly organized, self-driven, and capable of working independently in a remote and fast-paced setting.
• Strong judgment, executive presence, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities while effectively collaborating across functions.
• Proficient with CRM platforms and Microsoft 365 applications; experience with HubSpot is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and passport, with the ability to travel frequently throughout the territory and occasionally to national meetings and events.
• Established connections with lighting agents, electrical engineers, architects, designers, distributors, contractors, or related partners in Western North America.
• Familiarity with the lighting industry’s go-to-market model, project lifecycle, channel structure, and competitive landscape.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, lighting plans, specifications, and related project documents; experience with Bluebeam or similar software is preferred.
• Knowledge of lighting-control protocols, ecosystems, system design, commissioning, and connected-building technologies is highly desirable.
• Experience in supporting wireless, wired, or hybrid lighting-control solutions is an advantage.
