This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Serve as the main point of contact for designated webinars, editorial-led sessions, and online events within LMG.
• Identify and secure high-caliber speakers while crafting scientific event agendas.
• Investigate scientific literature to tailor events around innovations in life sciences, drug discovery, and analytical chemistry.
• Manage production activities including client interactions, pre-recording, video editing, and administration of live events.
• Utilize BigMarker and other event software for the execution of online events.
• Create promotional content to aid in event marketing efforts.
• Facilitate communication among clients, speakers, and internal teams.
• Ensure the successful execution of online events at a high standard.
• Assist in the production and administration of live online events across various time zones.
• Keep data trackers and project management tools, such as Trello, accurate and up-to-date.
• Participate in weekly departmental meetings and provide updates on event progress.
• Prior experience in event production OR a bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field).
• Experience in a client-facing position and project management.
• Marketing experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with the science industry is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Technologically proficient and willing to learn new software applications.
• Outstanding communication, writing, and presentation abilities.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
• Comfortable interacting with clients, scientists, and key opinion leaders.
• Capability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Self-driven, able to work both independently and in collaboration with others.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for science and science communication.
• Flexibility to work outside of regular office hours when necessary.
