This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily operations of the production team and act as the primary contact for general production inquiries.

• Conduct the weekly production meetings and collaborate with Account Managers and functional managers to address project challenges.

• Manage individual projects either as a project manager or account manager, typically dedicating around 50% of your time.

• Recruit, mentor, support career advancement, and lead performance discussions for producers.

• Take charge of the studio allocation plan and facilitate the biweekly allocation meetings.

• Generate and distribute the monthly Project Health Report.

• Manage the client temperature check process in conjunction with Account Managers.

• Supervise QA and A/V operations, which includes scheduling, voice talent selection and delivery, sourcing sound effects, contractor relationships, and drafting A/V contracts.

• Organize and coordinate playtesting across various active projects.

• Assist the accounting department by maintaining project schedule earn reports and ensuring accurate project billing.

• Aid the sales team by providing production insights on estimates, budgets, and proposed teams.

• Ensure that project teams supply materials and support to the marketing department.

• Offer initial HR support to the production team and the QA manager.

• Identify and replace repetitive operational tasks with AI-assisted or automated workflows.

• Enhance and refine development processes, labor division, and documentation practices.

• Collaborate with engineering leadership on internal tools.

• Ensure timely project delivery within budget while maintaining transparency on variances.

• Uphold consistent project health, client satisfaction, and earning reports.

• Optimize staffing allocation, process documentation, QA, A/V, playtesting, and operational automation.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in games, educational technology, or related software product development.

• More than 5 years of direct people management experience, including leading other producers or project leads.

• Proven experience in constructing project budgets, distributing resources across multiple concurrent projects, and reporting project health to executives.

• A diverse range of roles throughout your career.

• Experience in managing agile/scrum development teams using Jira or similar digital task management tools.

• Professional familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, Copilot, or equivalent, including the ability to create reusable solutions.

• Exceptional written and spoken English skills, along with polished presentation abilities.

• Strong employee relations capabilities and a solid understanding of common HR practices.

• Proficient in constructing spreadsheet models.

• Strong expertise in scheduling and allocation tools such as Google Sheets, Smartsheet, or Microsoft Project.

• Practical experience with Jira or a similar scrum task tracker and a documentation wiki like Confluence.

• Ability to analyze a profit and loss statement for a project or business segment.

• Capacity to create or specify lightweight automations, AI agents, skills, scripts, or integrations.

• Good judgment regarding data privacy and appropriate tool usage, particularly in contexts related to COPPA/FERPA.

• Proficiency in the English language.

• Previous experience in educational games, teaching, QA or A/V production, executive production, sales, account management, web development, or DevOps, as well as involvement in relevant industry groups, will be considered advantageous.
