This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Take ownership of and meet assigned annual goals for new business revenue, pipeline development, and qualified opportunity targets.
• Create and implement focused account and market development strategies.
• Identify key organizations, decision-makers, influencers, consultants, and relevant market events.
• Generate qualified opportunities through direct outreach, networking, referrals, and consultant relationships.
• Ensure disciplined tracking of prospecting and opportunity activities within the CRM system.
• Monitor weekly activity metrics, opportunity advancement, subsequent actions, closing strategies, and forecast precision.
• Lead initial discovery sessions addressing business priorities, purchasing criteria, stakeholders, competition, timing, and funding availability.
• Employ qualification methodology to assess when and how Alight should pursue opportunities.
• Record qualification results, pursuit suggestions, potential risks, decision criteria, and follow-up actions.
• Convert prospect challenges into compelling value propositions related to retirement and financial wellbeing solutions.
• Collaborate with sales, solution, pricing, proposal, legal, and operational teams on pursuit and proposal strategies.
• Provide market and buyer insights during RFP processes, pricing discussions, negotiations, and contract finalizations.
• Cultivate relationships with senior HR, benefits, finance, procurement, and executive stakeholders.
• Position Alight’s Wealth capabilities within Total Retirement Outsourcing and Total Benefits Outsourcing frameworks.
• Represent Alight at industry events, conferences, consultant meetings, and client engagements.
• Possession of FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses, or willingness and eligibility to obtain the necessary licenses.
• Experience in enterprise business development or sales within the retirement, benefits, HR outsourcing, or related sectors.
• Proven track record in generating qualified pipelines and establishing new client relationships.
• Familiarity with complex, multi-stakeholder purchasing processes.
• Excellent discovery, executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and forecasting abilities.
• Capability to translate client requirements into unique business and solution value propositions.
• Willingness and ability to travel as dictated by client and business requirements.
• Preferred: experience in defined benefits, defined contribution, retirement advice, brokerage, or financial wellbeing solutions.
• Preferred: background working with benefits consultants and advisory firms.
• Preferred: understanding of Total Retirement Outsourcing (TRO), Total Benefits Outsourcing (TBO), and connected benefits strategies.
• Preferred: history of meeting or surpassing sales targets, pipeline goals, and forecast commitments in a complex enterprise selling landscape.
• Authorization to work in the employing country without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
• Successful completion of a background check and any position-specific requirements.
